Hello, my name is Mike Krause. I had the opportunity to join Pet Expo in October, 1998 as a Pet Care Associate working closely with the fish and reptiles. In 2001 I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelors Degree in Business Management/Administration. In my free time I am fortunate to spend time with my family fishing and playing sports. I have had many pets including multiple snakes and lizards, fish and stingrays, short-tailed possums, southern flying squirrels etc. Currently, I have 2 cats Sam and Lucy, brother and sister, born in July, 2003. The greatest reward of being in this industry is seeing the joy a pet brings to the family it is welcomed into. My office is always open, so please introduce yourself, I would enjoy hearing from you.
Hello all I am Joshua King-Olson and I have been a part of the Pet Expo team since 2011. I started out working mainly in the Small Animals/Reptiles department and quickly moved my way through the other departments to finally land my current spot as Assistant General Manager. For as long as I can remember I have loved the wildlife nature has provided and some of my fondest memories revolve around it. Mainly a reptile and arachnid hobbyist I spent a majority of my time as a youth catching, observing, and releasing pretty much anything I could hide from my mom. My first job ever was back in 1998 when I worked for a much smaller pet store and I thought that I had finally found what I was meant to do, care for animals and educate new pet parents. My love for animals has encompassed the entirety of my life. In addition to working at Pet Expo I spent a year working at a local animal shelter as an animal care technician. Even my dietary choices, I am vegetarian, has been made due to my love for ALL animals. I enjoy breaking down the walls of fear that keep people suspicious of reptiles and “bugs” so if you feel you are ready to interact with a tarantula or snake, or maybe you just want to learn a bit more about rats and hedgehogs, then come on in and see me.
